That's why I'm not in right now, and I understand it. I hurt a lot of people's feelings and it came off the wrong way and it was really bad of me to say that.”  Hardaway was appropriately conciliatory about his past comments and seems to accept that basis for not getting into … [Read more...] about Why Isn’t T-Hard In The Hall?

NCAA Tourney NBA Style

March 24, 2019 by Harlan Schreiber Leave a Comment

In the honor of the start of the NCAA tourney, we thought we could take a brief look at the All-Time starting five for each of the 68 tourney teams, ranked by their NBA career accomplishments.  A few prleims: -We know it is sort of antithetical to rank by NBA career when college accomplishment can be very different than NBA accomplishment (see, for example, Christian Laettner versus Kyrie Irving at and after Duke). -In putting together a team, if two players are close, college … [Read more...] about NCAA Tourney NBA Style

Let’s start with the basics…the expectations in LA were a bit high but the reality is this team was not good.  Even with LeBron James, the reasonable consensus was that the Lakers … [Read more...] about Who to Blame in LA?

MVP Droughts

February 25, 2019 by Harlan Schreiber Leave a Comment

I was just watching a feature regarding how Giannis Antetokounmpo has a very real chance of breaking the Bucks’ MVP drought.  Milwaukee hasn’t had an MVP since Kareem Abdul-Jabbar won the award back in 1973-74.  As great a year as Giannis has had, it’ll be tough to overcome James Harden’s prolific scoring output.  But this year's horse race doesn’t interest me yet.  We can get back to that nearer to the end of the season. For now, I was more interested in going down the wormhole that is MVP … [Read more...] about MVP Droughts
