The 2020-21 NBA playoffs have been a battle of attrition. Getting a Bucks/Suns Finals would’ve been considered a reasonable prediction outcome at the start of the playoffs. How we actually got here was not anticipated. Milwaukee dodged a few bullets against the Nets due to some untimely injuries (but, yes, Milwaukee played well when it had to). Playoff Droughts: A Review

It’s odd to say in November but we are actually in the depths of the sorta off-season for the NBA. In reviewing off-season priorities, I noticed that the Suns currently have a ten-year playoff drought. That blew my mind because: (a) ten years is a long time for any team to miss the playoffs and (b) I can’t believe we are a decade removed from the Nash/Amare Suns. With most teams having not played more than nine or ten games played so far, it is way too early to make many meaningful conclusions away. Having said that, premature judgments are what the internet exists for. So, let’s knock around some snap judgments….
